1. I hope you were as challenged with Sunday’s message as I was. Just imagine what it would be like if you truly lived a life that was worthy of the calling we have received everyday (Ephesians 4:1). Did you pick one of the characteristics we talked about to work on this week (Humility, Gentleness, Patience, Love, and Peace)? I have been working on patience for a couple of weeks now. Getting this one down is taking forever <grin>.
2. Thank you to everyone who made the Dinner and A Movie a success. Once again nearly 2/3 of those present were from outside Community of Hope. We are making a difference in the lives of people. In fact, just today, one of the teens who has been attending asked me if the Dinner and A Movie was this coming Saturday. He was genuinely disappointed when I told him it was last weekend. I am so excited that we are building relationships with the people in our community!
3. I want you to live out God's best for your life! At Community of Hope, we think that means being a part of a Life Group. Life's more fun when you have people around you to laugh with, grow with, and do life with. The next cycle of Life Groups will be starting the first week of February. Sign-up to participate here. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to grow!
4. It’s that time of year again. Time to get your taxes prepared. Hopefully you will get a tax return! Then you can take your pastor out to eat <grin> (just kidding… or am I). Community of Hope will have the 2011 Annual Giving statements available on Sunday. Any giving statements that are not picked up on Sunday will be mailed to the most current address we have on file.
5. Have you identified your “High Five?” What five people will you bless by introducing them to Jesus through your testimony or an invitation to Community of Hope? Have you started praying for Community of Hope's Easter Service? I believe we can have 100 people present for Easter Sunday. Will you do your part and prepare your heart and mind to be used by God?
6. New Blog post: If you haven’t seen it yet, there is a new post entitled: Old Dog… New Tricks… at www.mytelios.com. Check it out and let me know what you think by sending an e-mail to david@gothope365.com.
7. NEVER Forget… Found people… find people! Take a deep breath, and then let yourself be used by God!
8. I love Community of Hope and can’t wait to see what God is going to do through us in our community.
Pastor David
